Correct timing help???
Does anyone know what the correct timing is for a stock '71 350 SB? I can't seem to find what the correct timing is and where it historically should be for the best performance..... Just heresay......

There is a factory setting but to get the best setting you have to play with it and see what works, lots of factors involved including age of eng, comp ratio, carbon build up, cam, etc. Check out Lars' tuning paper in the tech section. :thumbs:

I agree completely with Fevre.
Lars' paper is very well written so that a true novice like myself could set the timing. If you get real adventurous, follow the timing set by tuning your carb according to Lars' other paper.
