Hell, thats how I get all my extra parts, take something apart and put it
back together. Screw, nuts, washers etc. :D Mine needs something too,
dosent leak, just sucks.
I rebuilt my Qjet as well, very challenging and rewarding experience. Spent a lot of time reading Lars papers. Also took me a few weeks to get everything set properly as far as rod height, secondary airflap tension, float level, etc. A lot of late nights and curse words! They say the Rochester QJet is the most complicated carb out there. Not many people have the ***** to attempt the rebuild so good for you!
After I put on headers and new dual exhaust I had to richen up the whole thing - primary rods 4 sizes smaller, idle mixture screws out 3 turns instead of the 'normal' two, smaller secondary rods. Runs great, no hesitations or 'Quadrabogs' as so many people describe after attempting to tune thier QJet.
The theory is that if you take something apart, then put it back together you'll have some parts left over, and if you takie it apart abd rebuilt it again, you'll have MORE parts. If you keep doing that you'll have enough parts to make another quadrajet and then you can sell it..... but it wont work. :lolg:
