What can cause stress cracks on the C-3's? My '68 convertible has new
Bilstein shocks, new tires P255/60R15, new rear suspention. New body work and paint job a year ago.
I dont' drive the car hard and goes over bumps real easy. I am seeing 1'' inch stress cracks on the front driver side and rear passager side fenders right about the tires and one on the rear bumper.
I spoke to a Corvette body shop and they said it just happens because the car is old, but it's all happening at once...any cures to this problem?
I had cracks and spiders on mine before I stripped it down and painted it last year. Did they strip the car down to the gel coat or just paint over the car? Did they seal the car before painting it. I think that makes a big difference. I have not seen any so far I don't think the age of the car is the problem
