Are you hearing impared? Just don't do it. Wifey's 79 had one in the same place and it killed the battery. I'll suggest drilling through the floor (very small[obviously]) and grounding to the frame.

Look under the car for the rear frame cross piece. The tail/stop lights are grounded there. Should be on the driver's side.
