Glad you got them off, but here's another trick I've heard of if anybody else gets stuck without their key:
Tighten the other lugs up to 125 ft. lbs. or so. This should push the wheel in far enough that you are able to loosen the locknig lug easily with a pair of vise grips. Having said that though, I always make sure that my locking lug is the tightest lugnut on the wheel. Don't need the crooks using my tricks to steal my wheels. It's also good to get your key copied and store it someplace safe.
