Im thinkin since theres a engine mod section it would also be good to have a tranny tech section. Right now many of our common questions are spread out across all the different forums. I think it could benifit us to to have a specific section for trannys. Then the tranny gurus could have a central place to provide assistance to others. What do you think? Please vote.

Go one step further: Make it a "Driveline Tech" section, covering everything from the clutch back...gearbox, driveshaft, u-joints, differential, axles, etc.
Maybe send some invitations to some tranny gurus and tell that theres a fortune to be made if they join us and sell us the parts at a hefty discount

Well, know it or not, NAPA has tranny kids available....you might also want to check the YP's for a transmission parts/supplies wholesaler....and pick them up there....
kits are usually 150 bux.....bands and steels extra....converter extra at about 100 bux...unless something special hotrodding wise....
they take about a day to remove and dis assemble....another two days to properly break down each sub pack/clutch assy, inspect everything, check it all out and replace all seals, clutches, steels, whatever.....
and then another day to fix what's rong if it don't work upon reinstall....
but still cheaper than 1200++++ bux NET, after taxes than any other way, PLUS you get an edjemakation....
if i could run the forum, i would have the following sections
C5 General
C4 General
C3 General
C2 General
C1 General
Engine
Advanced Engine
Transmission and Driveline
Suspension and Chassis
Resto
Paint and Body
Wheels and Tires
etc...
i think this would be a MUCH more effiecnet way to organize subject areas becasue many topics and areas of interest are cross-generation. maybe one day...
