Is there a difference between any 1978 Corvette and a "Silver Anniversay"? Are all Corvette Silver Anniversays painted the two two silver? Could someone explain the diferences, if any? Thanks
Infact Silver Anniversary paint was the most common paint in -78... Almost twice as much Silver Anniversaries were painted as the next common paint... I don't remember the figures though at this very moment.
I thought the badges where the same for all '78's. My 'non-anniversary' model (white with red leather interior) has 25th anniversary badges on the nose, gas filler, and steering wheel.

Re: 78 Corevette Silver Anniversary? (aardvark)
All '78 Corvettes carry the Anniversary badges.
The B2Z option was the Anniverary package that included the two tonme silver paint. A number of other options, like sports mirrors, were mandatory with the B2Z package.
The Pace Car replica was a separte package that included the two tone paint, speciall interior and alloys with a red line, plus the "madatory" options lkike sport mirrors again. The B2Z option was the most popular in 78, meaning that about a third of all '78s are, or were two tone silver. About 6500 Pace Car replicas were built at the factory, with others "manufactured" at dealerships etc.
All 78's are Silver Anniversary. But then there is a paint option called "Silver Anniversary" (Code 13/07) and seems that most people refer to this paint combo as the Silver Anniversary Vette.

tom...
:iagree:
the Silver Anniversary Vette as it is normally interpreted is the special 2 tone paint job, apart from that it is a normal 78 vette in every respect and carries no option not available on any other vette. All 78's had anniversary badges - including the pace car.
There is little to no added value to the B2Z paint optioned cars as was mentioned previously they are quite common in 78, a 4 speed 78 is far more rare than a B2Z 2 tone paint car.
15,283 cars came with the B2Z paint code, this was the most popular with black a distant second at 11,075 , compare this with the 3,385 close ratio equipped 4 speed cars.
Corvette Yellow was the least opted for color at 1,243 units.

the two tone paint adds 15% to the value of the car
