I dont think the 85 wheels look that good on C3. But thats just my personal opinion. As far as wheels are concerned, if it requires an adapter, it wasnt meant to be in the first place.

85 wheels are 16" wheels and not very wide either.
I have 1996 wheels on mine. 8.5" wide front, 9.5" wide rear with 17" wheels.
You will need adapters to make up for the difference in offset, and those will run you $350 - $400 for the set.
For that money and trouble, at least get 17" wheels.
