I am installing a new circuit board in my 1977.
Trouble is I don't remember how it screws on!
Does the flexible board lay against the casing and the gauge screw down over the contacts?? Where do the ceramic insulators go (also on top of the board not under I assume.
CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE STRAIGHTEN ME OUT

The only parts that go on top of the circuit board are the final screws. If it's any help, have a look at mine - http://www.nottingham.ac.uk/~eaztl1/...ht_circuit.htm
The photos aren't great, and the page is unfinished, but you might be able to see enough. As i remember it, you have some small screws under the flexi-board, and ceramic insulators. These hold the guages to the cluster body. Then the flexi board goes on top, with the little pressed steel nuts to hold it on.
So screw everything back on, apart from the handful of pressed steel nuts, then the board goes on and you should be getting somewhere!

No worries - good luck with it!
Just to be on the safe side, I'd plug the cluster in just before you screw it all back in - then rest it on a cloth or something on the centre tunnel and turn the ignition/lights etc on - just to make sure everything's cool....
