me thinks i need new frame
Hi everone... new member and just bought my first vette. 72 big block... engine and body are great but the frame is rough.... whats your advice on replacing frame...or... welding new peices and sandblasting my frame or.... even considering a whole rolling chasis purchase... this is my first frame off resto project and I want to do it right the first time.. thanks.... :confused:

Well, I have found that what I would like to do and what I could afford to do are two separate things. Here is a website that has complete rolling chasis for sale so you can get an idea of cost:

thank you.... not yet.... rotted under driverside door and patched badly... not up on all my frame lingo and parts yet ,,,, same on passenger side behind door... whole frame has bad surface rust...i'm looking for the long haul with this car.....not a quickie ... i'm not rich either... this was my only way to own a nice big block.. bought it cheap..... willing to invest
