Check your alternator impeller fan.

I started hearing a strange noise the other day under the hood, turned out the fan attached to the alternator pulley was loose, tried tightening and still noise. Thought it could be a bearing but when I took it off there was a crack in center leading outwards. I have heard from others who have had a similar noise and replaced the entire alternator.

Keep an Eye on those U-Joints too guys, god knows how pretty those can get sometimes. :U
