This thing was waiting in line to go through the auction at the Valpo Vette/Chevy show last weekend. I wish I would have gone into the auction to see if it sold, and for how much. Anybody know??

I can remember seeing them in Hot Rod (or Car Craft or was it Popular hot Rodding oh well) when they come out as kits in the '70's

That's the old Eckler's Vette wagon conversion. The conversion kit was sold by Eckler's back in the 70's. At the time the were w bit of a novelty, now they just look hideous.

I used to see a couple of those running around the town I grew up in during the 70's.
Looks aside I always wondered how it affected the balance of the car, good or bad. Those old Impalas had a lot of trunk hanging off the rear and made great drag cars, but poor corner carvers.
