Has anyone hooked up a tranny temp gauge?
I need to know the best place to put the sensor. Is there a plug in the side that an be removed and replaced with the sensor?

Re: Tranny Temp gauges (Myeye2sky)
I have seen 2 methods on this.
1. put the sensor in the side / rear of the pan. Makes a nice drain plug as well.
2. "T" 'ed into a line going to the transmission cooler. You will want to get the line going from the trans to the cooler, and not the return line. The return line will read much cooler and would be like checking the water temp of your engine with the lower radiator hose.

Re: Tranny Temp gauges (Brutus)
2 ways to find out.
1. Crack the fitting loose on one of them at the radiator and un-hook it. Have someone start the motor. If the fluid comes out that line, then it is from the trans to the cooler. If it flows out the radiator then you have the return line in your hand.
2. Start the motor and hold both lines. First to get hot / hotter is the line from the trans.
