Do you know which connectors under the hood are for the electronics like headlights and which main vaccuum line runs the headlights? I need to connect them but I do not know to where.
groovyjay: Yeah interior work is still on-going. If you noticed I brought the cluster area out from the firewall close to 2 inches, this took up some room on the center console. But if evetything goes well, my plan is to put a cup-holder in that area. :D
How'bout making it a bottle holder for this "little bottle":
groovyjay: LoL. I wish. Been thinking about it, but many things need attention. The power deparment is coming soon, though. Heh...
C3ElectronBlue: I can see how the headlights would be difficult to figure out if you had no clue. I haven't had to touch the electrical portion, but as far as the vacuum side, I know there are 2 main lines. One comes directly from the top of my intake manifold to forward of the radiator (have to check to find out exactly what it connects to) and the other goes from the manifold to the valve under the dash, and then back out to the forward area (again need to check on specific connections). If you let me know the details of what you need, I can probably track it down for ya. Hmmm... A little OT, should probably start another thread.
Awesome job. You are giving me some ideas for my 1980 cash sink. I love the interior improvements. I have been wanting to redo my center console since I think it does not fit the car style overall. I may try to install a nav. system and want a sleeker look. Yours is one of the first that I have seen that really did something different. Really great work.

Nice job in both design & execution. Did you do it all yourself? You need to do a website for it.
Fevre: You are correct, infact I'm pretty sure there are some companies that sell "cable-type" backup latch releases. One may be in the future for me, not sure just yet.
... But if evetything goes well, my plan is to put a cup-holder in that area. :D
The cable could come out the front of the door & a mechanical choke cable would work.
Your g/f holds your drink.
You ONLY 19?? and you doing that kind of work allready??? you allmost have to have someone with experiences in this/related fabrication fields helping???
either way, it's looking GOOD dude!!! nice to have the proper gear to be able to do that sort of plastics work....love those gauges/instrument panel...
Thanks everyone. Yeah, yeah, I'm only 19. Hehe. My dad fabs all kinds of different things, and I've spent a large portion of my life working on "projects", i.e. house work, cars, boats, etc. Everything I know is from working with him, and as far as resources everything was done using his tools. But as far as the design and construction, it's been up to me on this project. I think he actually thought I was crazy when I started making the speaker box, and amp rack, LoL. I do have him do the aluminum welding portions though, as I never did get around to learning that part, and he gives me a hand when I really get stuck on something, or need an extra set of hands. As for the plastic work, there really wasn't anything to it. A drill, bandsaw, dremel, and black silicone and that was that. And, Ganey, I will definately take your advice and make a website for it. I'll also post more pics when the interior is totally done.
