Default 1968 Road Race Corvette on E-bay

I wasn't too impressed with this car until I actually got down to the pictures. Looks like the real deal for someone looking to own a race Corvette :yesnod: .

Check it out here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...&category=6168

I just got finished downloading all those pictures for my personal archives...

WOW .. and I thought my '69 was gonna be race ready.

That is one hot machine. I still prefer the coupe look of my '69 but with a new paint job that car could sit next to mine any day.

That guy is in DREAM LAND!! that car is waaay too new to race "vintage" and the Corvette was NOT even allowed to race in the T/A series until `74. Vintage also does NOT allow a `78 body let alone the Greenwood wide body nose or the 5-link (unless of course you want to race "vintage" against tube frame T/a cars with slicks and wings. amazing some "fool" with the same screen name as me is currently high bidder (I wonder what he is smoking??)

:iagree: Very cool car! I don't know the racing rules, but otherwise the year model is obsolete with that car. There is not much originality anyway. It would be great to have that kind of car in our track race days or what do you think Groovyjay? :D

looks like a nice car, needs some work but still a nice car.

The IRS doesn't look like a guldstrand 5 link. It looks more like a greeenwood conversion with chopped trailing arms. The reason is it uses a toe strut behind the rear on the same plane as the 1/2 shafts, jsut like a C4 has. this is what the greenwood one has too. the guldstrand has 2 lower struts that control camber and toe

There might be another shark sitting next to the 79 by the end of this week, so a track car has to wait for now. That 86 racer is still for sale. 2500.... :steering:

Funny I would expect a pic or two of it on a race course. Does appear to be a well built car, although a little 'gay' on the color. :leaving:
