Default Some cool Carlisle pics

I picked through a couple of my Carlisle pics to find some that haven't been posted yet. Carlisel can be dangerous to your bank account. I am now thinking of the custome frame, a blown big-block, with fender flares and fixed headlights for the 75 and painting it orange. Here is where the ideas came from...

I stopped out at a guys shop the other day that does only street rods and customs in my area. He is working on a project for a customer that is a tubular chassis like the one in your second picture above. The chassis has been completely powder coated and has a Z06 motor, drive train, wheels and suspension installed on it. Sitting right next to it is a 55 or 56 convertible vette body that lays on top of it all. It is incredible looking!!!! The under side of the car is getting painted and buffed out just like all of the body panels. I can't image what it is going to cost the guy. $$$$$

I also noticed the big rotors and wilwood calipers lurking behind those big wheels.

Was that tube frame builder advertising or was that a one off- you didn't happen to catch any info on the builder did you? :steering:

The black one looks a lot like the one from tropiczoneracing.com but yeah, it's got diff. calipers and that maroon on the hood.. oh and it's the wrong year. The wheels are the same I think.

Anyone got more pics of that black one?

Those are styled after the L88 racing C3's. Check out some pics of old race C3's and you will see those exact lights. Guldstrand sells a kit just like those.
