Radiator Overflow Valve
My new radiator's overflow valve is compressed to the point where the resevoir hose will not fit. Will I experience problems with overheating if I don't connect it?

Do you mean the valve nipple is too small? And yes you could experience over heating problems because the sytem is designed to 'burp' air and some fluid out when the pressure then when it cools it sucks in fluid from the overflow tank. I had to use a very small brass tube to screw into my rad and then used a small hose clamp to get a got seal. Since there is no pressure in the over flow hose it doesn't have to be a great fit just tight enough to not allow a direct leak.
