title search in Florida
I bought my car about a year and a half ago in Florida. Is it possible for Florida to do a title search of past owners since new? I was at a Mall Hot-Rod gathering in Maryville, TN and heard this today.
You can try contacting the Florida DMV for registration history. I did it here with my 71. Glad I did, it was worth the $10 it cost me. Only problem is if your vette was in a different state before, you will have to do it for each state it was in.... I think some states don't even do it....
Other than that.... :nonod:
Well, I stand corrected. I guess I underestimated the services offered by the DMV. Well, then again they were going to sell everyone's drivers license info last year but the Gov'nr said to stop it.
Anyway, my apologies. I guess you can see my hostility towards them coming thru.
Yeh, well all the damn stupid privacy laws and all, it's getting harder and harder to find out a damn thing about anyone, let alone a car, previous owners privacy for christsakes....gets silly allready....
all the honest folks have to run and hide so the crooks have free reign...
Mark.... Notice that nobody said it was easy or pleasant to deal with these people, just that you could do it. The copies I got for a 58 corvette I had were absolutely terrible. Very dark, half off the paper, blurry. I don' like dealing whit the DMV. I hate even going to get tags so I do it by mail if possible.

Oh yes, let me clarrify. You will not be dealing with the crabby ladies at your local drivers liscense office. You send your letter of intent and money to the main office in your state, by mail.
It took me two tries to get the information from Florida for my 78.First try got me the previous owner.Second try got everything.Ohio only goes back 10 years. :chevy
