Default Serpantine Conversions-Need Advice

I am considering this option and would like some feedback: where did you buy/manufacturer, any issues, end results?
Thanks for taking the time to reply

March components are first rate but expensive. Their billet alum work is excelent. Alternates include Zoops and Street and Performance.

If appearance is not your goal, most C4 junkyards can fix you up with an L-98 set pretty cheap.

GM Performance Products sells a complete Serpentine setup including water pump, alternator, PS Pump and A/C compressor, all the backets and mounts cheaper than Zoops or March. It doesn't look as nice, but it will work perfectly and replacement parts can be ordered from any GM dealer.
Another alternative would be a visit to the local wrecking yard and look for a setup off a pre-ls1 Firebird, Camaro or Corvette. That is the much cheaper alternative.

I have a whole C-4 set in my garage with PS hose and all for $200. A/C,100amp Alt, rev. water pump, and S & P perfomrance adjustable bar.

I live in McKinney, so you can pick it up.

Would that work on a big block car? I may be seriously interested.

Budman-
definately interested. Do you have any pic(s) you can send me? Just curious about the condition. I've seen your ride once before and it was very clean.
If no pics, let me know and I'll give ya my number so we can set something up.

I used a 91 Chevy Truck setup. Well sort of. I had to modify it a bit and make one of the brackets myself. The dealer wanted $300 dollars for the front lifting hook that the alt bracket attaches too. I also had to make spacers for the crank pulley and the water pump pulley. I don't have the GM part numbers on hand but if you would like them I can supply them via email. I used the March crank, water pump, alt pulleys from their short water pump conversion kit and the powersteering pump pulley. I also used the 91 truck tensioner and an idler from a 92 lumina. The short water pump is spaced out with a set of long water pump conversion spacers. I believe i shaved about 1/4" off of the water pump spacers and also had to have a .75" spacer between the water pump pulley and water pump. The crank requires a 1.919" spacer. I also had to make a support shaft for the idler. You can probably get by without the idler but I wanted to make sure I had plenty of belt wrap on the crank and powersteering pulley at higher rpms. The alt is very high on the engine but the larger bracket could be modified enough to fit under a stock hood. I have a 3" cowl hood, which is molded into the Ecklers One Piece tilt nose.

Here are a few pictures without a belt and the aluminum crank spacer. I machined steel tubes to gain the correct clearance before machining the aluminum.

If you have any questions or would like some more pictures with and without the blet let me know I can get them for you.

Don't think the small block stuff will fit a big block.

I did the "Full Tilt Boogie" March setup, billet everything. Works great! They initially sent me a water pump that had a "bent" pilot shaft, but all was corrected and works and looks like a million bucks!!
