Engineering rant - serp power steering pump removal.
Was getting ready to clean the serp set up I bought to put on the vette when I came to the power steering pump and bracket. Sure would like to meet the person(s) who thought engineering the ps pump so you have to removal the pulley, with a special tool no less, before you can remove the pump from the bracket, the bolts are behind the pulley. WTF where they thinking?

I totally agree, just a simple bolt and a woodruff key as they used to do would have been ok, fine enough...but NO....some guy had to make a living, I guess....

I do believe they sit around a big table and have a laugh about this sort of thing, I had to remove the throttle body, unhook the cruise control and a few other things had to be moved out of the way, about 4 hours to change a thermostat in my Grand Am.
Never did an oil change myself, couldn't get at the oil filter
