Got the seats bolted back into the car after installing the covers and it is really Starting to look like a car again. One thing I don't remember is the seats leaning in towards each other. Is this normal? If not any suggestions on fixing the problem?
Also one more thing that I found out after installing the seats. With the new seat foam and springs in the seats they are a lot firmer then the old worn out stuff. Now I think I am going to have to look at getting a tilt\tele column. At 6'5" 245 I am now sitting right up at the column.
My seats leaned a little towards each other, when I got my vette. I adjusted the stop bolts underneath the the seat back. Just pull the seat back, forward and you can adjust each side. Don't know how far you can go with the adjustment though, I did'nt have to adjust mine too much.
Nice convertible, did you change the rear gears in it yourself? I'm thinking of going to a little higher gear on mine.
:chevy
Thanks guys I will try the stops and see what I can do. 1972 Shark, yes I did the gear myself. It is really not a hard job. I was able to put back the stock pinion shim and the tooth patern was perfect. The hardest part of the job was getting the 100 some odd ftlbs on the pinion nut to set the crush colar which I re used.

Re: Do your seats lean? (BlackRat)
Good post. My seats leaned towards the center and I used washers to take out the lean. Perhaps I should take the washers out and try adjusting the stops on the seats. I did notice that the seat forward and back sliders worked smoother without the washers.
