Just Had a Strange Experience
The wifey & I just went to a Starbuck's in the hills here for a cup- we do this every week or two when the evenings are nice enough to sit outside. We almost always take the Vette but tonight we took my 70 Z28 because it was overdue for a drive. So, we're sitting outside for awhile when we see & hear this 69 427 Vette as it's pulling into the lot- same color as mine w/ standard rear exhaust set-up, & very clean. We both say "What the heck?" because from the back it was a dead ringer & we're thinking that maybe someone has nabbed my car!
As it slows a bit I can see the Rally wheels & can hear that it's...well, a bit quieter than mine ;) After I sigh of relief we go over & talk to the owner, a nice guy named William- says he'll check out the forum so say "Hi" if you see him pop up here. His car turns out to be an original 435 HP car & he still runs the 3 duece set-up w/ the stock 427 hood but has gone to a hydraulic cam. Clean motor & car, and certainly more "correct" than mine.
Well, it was an eye opener for me but very :cool: to see...too bad I didn't take my Vette- woulda kept my heart from leaping & woulda been nice to have em both there!

Neat coincidence.
One of the guys I work with bought this 69 model 427 Tripower vette. Looks an aweful lot like yours too. His is really quiet for a big block I thought. All 3 of you guys could make a gaggle of vettes. I have yet to run into anyone that has a car like mine, but if I did...... :crazy:

I really like Camaros too.
I had my Vatte and a Camaro at the same time once - it was a '99 Z, so not as vintage as yours, but they looked nice sitting in the garage together.......
