I know OK City gets alot colder than it does here in south Texas, but I ran without a choke last year and didn't have much problem (other than a 2 or 3 minute warmup, before driving) but since my car isn't a daily driver it never limited me too much.
If you need a choke just occasionally then a simple manual choke might be for you, if you want more convience then an electric choke kit for your Holley can be purchased fairly easily.
Go to Holley's website, indentify the model of carb you have, and find the right choke kit for your carb. You can order Holley parts by part number from Autozone, Summit, Jeg's or many other places. http://www.holley.com/HiOctn/ProdLin...Access.html#CP
If you plan to drag race your car you may want to look for something other than an electric choke. My electric choke comes on after I've been sitting in the staging lanes :mad
Well i just put on the manual choke back on. Im not too sure how it is supposed to work. I assume you adjust the choke yourself, and then as the car warms up it opens up more.....right? It does get quite cold here, but warming up does only take a couple minutes. The main reason i want to put a choke on it is just for convenience during the winter months. As soon as summer comes next year it will come back off. :D
