Default tears in dash pad....suggested fix?

guys, i have a few tears in my dash pad, nothing really large, like, 3/4 inch is the biggest. one is all the way through the pad on the side. i am looking for a product to fix this. i thought about using some flexible epoxy or something, then sanding it down with fine sandpaper to make it smooth

thanks!

what do you recommend? color doesnt matter, because i will be dying it black

thanks in advance

If it were me I would replace it. You could maybe find a vinyl repair kit at the hardware store.

I had pretty good luck using the vinyl repair kits that you can get at WalMart. I replaced a about an inch square piece of missing vinyl on my left windshield pillar cover and it turned out pretty good. I have to point it out to people.

I bought one of those dash cover for my 79 from Ecklers and just finished installing it, it was very easy to install, it's black and it turned out great! If you want to see pics, I can email them to you.

I really like the hard plastic dash cap I installed that covers the old pad for about $100. Have paint to match though. Very tough, tear/sun resistant and looks just as good or better. I kind'a prefer the hard surface.
Try: http://www.paddockparts.com and part number: TD231

pics please .... and how hard is it to install?

Does it look good, or does it look like someone put a plastic cover over the original (does it stand out and look fake) ?
