Default HORN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Still does not work correctly.

So I go down to AutoZone today and purchase a new horn relay. They are $5.49 there, so don't pay any of the 'vette catalogs $19.95 for one. Put the new relay in, plug the low note horn in and it sounds off without the button being pushed.

I can take the steering wheel completely off of the car, including the upper horn contact, push rod, spring, and eyelet... and the horn will still sound.

Where should I look / what should I do next? If I get my horn fixed, I am going to start putting all the new interior trim and carpet in my car.

Go to http://www.corvettefaq.com and look in the Steering section. Download

Horn Operation Diagnosis - Revised 07JL03.

You need to determine if your problem is in the horn relay or if it is in the steering column (obviously the problem isn't in your horn). These instructions should be able to pinpoint the location of your problem.

guess I'll have to go find my meter and get ready to do some work under the dash... I'm thinking this one's in the steering column... :(
