Still running rich though. Getting a better assortment of rods and jets to dial in the carb. Going back next week to run it again! The air/fuel ratio at WOT is only 10.5. We waisted a lot of time last night chasing our tails around because of some incorrect jet & rod info sent out with the new Edelbrock AVS carbs. My best run was 250rwh & 330 rwt. I am happy with the results but the people at DynoLab Inc. think we can get another 10 to 20 hp out of her if we correct the A/F ratio. I say, why not.
The people at DynoLab Inc. were great!! If you live in the Atlanta area, give them a call @ 678-560-0692. Tell them you got the info off the forum. Thursday night on a first come first served you will get 3 pulls for 50 bucks!! Dyno tuning sessioins will cost more.

Re: New Dyno Numbers are in! (KJL)
 Thanks for the post as your engine combo is very similar to mine. So if you can figure in 20% loss (for the drive train) your at about 300 ponies but 400 ft-lbs at the flywheel. Man I bet that’s a smooth daily driver and keeps the ricers in their place too. My guess is you can run with the C5s now and please post if you get any ¼ mile times. :auto:

Re: New Dyno Numbers are in! (KJL)
 Good job. That’s more power than the Edlebrock base motors (crate motors). What do think of those Edlebrock heads? They seem good for most any street combo. I nearly went with those Eldlebrock heads but found a great price on pocket ported World Products Torquers.
Yes, we got the A/F ratio to about 12.5 at WOT. It was an eye openning experience. The secondary jets were stock .098 they are now .086!! It makes me wonder how many people are losing HP because of to much carb.
True, one could argue that your not going to "feel" a 10 hp diff at WOT.
I went from 240 to 260hp and 317 to 335tq just from adjusting the carb. I wish I could say it was cheap....
Yes, that cam buys the farm after 5200. Peak HP was at about 4400 and it held there through about 5200 then it drops off.
Peak torque was at about 3400 rpm. I supposed a decked block with flat head pistons and thinner head gaskets plus a longer duration XE cam would improve top end HP without to much of a hit to the torque.
Hey that's really cool. Isn't amazing what tuning will do for you? What a difference a couple of jet changes make. Those are pretty good numbers for that cam.
