Headers on ZZ4 engine ?

Headers on ZZ4 engine ?
Hi,
I am planning on getting a ZZ4 engine, but I heard that I have to use special D type headers on this block.
I this true ? Because I have Hooker headers and side pipes and I would like to keep these but if I need other headers..... Damn :nonod:
Or if I use the Hookers what will be the drawback on performance ??

headman is the only ones i know of that make the D port style headers for ZZ4s. yea, you sacrifice breathablility and other consequences using hookers.

Your hookers will work. I would recommend using a quality alum. gasket for a better seal (Percy's). As for performance, since the port will not match the headers exactly you may lose some, but i would not think it would be noticeable or worth the price of a new headers/exhaust system and losing the sidepipes. Just my .02.

I believe BSeery quoted GM found no difference between using regular and D-port headers on the ZZ4.
