LS1 in a 69 Vette
Hi,
A friend is dropping a new LS1 into his 69 vette. Any advice for him on the installation of the motor and tranny? He is going with the 6 speed.

I believe VETTE magazine has been running a series of articles on this swap in the editor's 76 shark.
From what I recall it is not a drop in. Due to the many differences between the LS1 and the original engine (mounting points, dimensions, etc.) this is not an easy swap. I'm not trying to discourage you but it might be wise to check out some back issues of the mag before you pull the engine.
