Old Corvette magazines - What do you all do with em?
I have about 2 years worth of corvette fevers / chevy high performance / hot rod / car craft / motor trends and a few other issues of stuff. What do you all do with all of the ones you get? I have been keeping them on a shelf but I am running out of space and am getting ready to throw them all away. Anybody have anything creative to do with them? Anybody in Hawaii want them? If so let me know and you can come and get em.

I have them both back to about 82-83. I look back at them and laugh at the old custom paintjobs, stupid wheel trends, and gimmick electronics people put in their cars back then....remember Knight Rider?
I also look at the old issues and am surprised at how many cars still look cool. It was nice to see 90% of the magazine dedicated to C3's back then too.

I have all of my Corvette Fever and Vette magazines in binders. They go back to the early 90's, right about the time of my first Vette, my venerable 1984 Z51 4+3. I have assorted CHP and Hot Rod that I keep, mainly for articles pertaining to EFI swaps, engine build-ups and the sort. :chevy

Lets see, I have CF back to about 1984,PHR and Super Chevy back to 1978,Vette a few years in the 80's,SHP back 3 years. I used to have them in order but there are way too many now. I have them in the attic, next to the 5000 comic books from the 60's I kept as a kid. I ony get CF,CHP now though!

I have several years of Easyrider. I have a four drawer horizontal file cabinet. I cut the metal thingy's off of file folders made for file cabinets and put them in the middle of the magazine and hang them in the drawer. Keeps them straight and neat. Just what I do, I hate throwing away good things. Always afraid I will regret it. :D :flag

I've got stacks of the same magazines in Pittsburgh. If anyone wants them or knows of where I can donate them (will the library take them?!). Let me know.

A buddy of mine had a pretty good idea...he cuts out all the usefull articles and files them in a 3 ring binder by subject...tranny, brakes, suspension etc...then he has a useful guide you can look up easily.

Whatever you do, don't keep them in one place.
I read where someone calculated that if all of the archived copies of National Geographic where shipped to Omaha, Nebraska, the entire country would collapse in an enormous sink hole. :jester :jester
