Default Another Ebay moron

Check this out
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...&category=6168

The title is clear. 350/350 L-46. I believe (as I have been told two times by mechanics) that it is the original engine, however no numbers on the block- they were shaved off as rebuilding work was done. It is correctly dated, etc.

Doesn't that say 427 on the hood?

Yeah, it says 427, someone just put on a BB hood and didn't bother to take off the emblems.

If he has the incorrect hood doesn't mean that it's not the correct engine... Many people put 427 hoods on their small blocks...

Good point.

Something tells me he did not change the hood though.

No, the L46 was the 350/350. The 350/300 didn't have a number it was just called "base."

Seems like I heard that decking the block could remove the numbers...?

Actually that manifold looks a litte low for the 350/350.

Now, why is it we are all always sooo suspicious of Ebay sales? :nono:

I rather like the car. The striping is not something I would do but the vehicle looks clean and well-kept. The hood is obviously an add-on but many people opt for that look. And yes the L46 is the 350cid/350hp engine. The 350cid/300hp base engine was code ZQ3.

Not fond of the stripes -- too busy. The car is currently at $19000 and the reserve hasn't been met. I wonder how much he wants....

"Paint has normal wear and tear for a fiberglass vette."

Is there another material Corvettes are made from which is more "paint friendly?"

Those stripes are teh ghey.

19K and reserve STILL not met???

To my knowledge, the only small block with that hood is the LT1. If it were an LT1, he would be advertising that as well.

Maybe the ZL1 stripe kit X 2 adds $7500 in value?
