A friend of mine has just purchased a 1968 project car and for some odd reason he wants to know whether it has transistorized ignition. how can i find this, what do i need to look for? we don't have any indications as we do not have a tank/build sheet.
thanks for your time
Check this search page and click on some of the links. I saw a good soruce that describes the components and how they work. And several others that show pictures of the diffeent parts. With some surfing and reading you should be able to find out what you need to know.

On a more optomistic note, Jvette73, thank you for your help uopn this issue, it is much appreciated.
