Go to the top of this page and click on "Tools" and then "Member Locator" on the next page. Fill in your zip and you can find all of the Forum Members in your area. There's quite a few Houston area members with some being more active on the forum than others.

I'm a former Belaire guy. There are two major Corvette clubs in the greater Houston area. They go dragging all the time.
There's also a huge C4 and C5 contingent that autocrosses w/ the Houston region SCCA. All good people.
