Headers with AC question
My AC bracket on my 73 Vette 454 is mounted to the exhaust manifold. When I install headers, How will I mount my AC compressor? Will the existing bracket work?

Not sure what a big block setup is like.
The small block setup has a two-sided stud that goes through the exhaust manifold. When I installed my headers, tsw71 made me a tube-metal spacer which made up the difference in thickness of the header flange and the exhaust manifold.

That sounds about right...not that hard to cut 3/8" tubing...that will work...now if the bracket is bolted to the head, there is no need for the spacers. Just have to see where it's bolted down.
