Where are you picking up your 12v?

Pull the rubber boot on the alt back and clamp it there.

I use the set of jumper cables I have in the cargo area to bring the power up front...
Next time, I'm gonna try out the alternator.

There should be a big junction block on the rear side of the left side inner fender up near the hood. that's where I get mine. Doesn't slip off like the alternator boot tends to do.
