79 Engines

I'm thinking about buying an old 79 stingray. if i do buy one i plan on taking out the old engine and putting in a new one. Can anyone recomend a good engine that could get me over about 350 hp but still could be driven every day. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

there are several places that sell crate engines. Call your local Chevy dealer and see if they can get you a Votech Crate motor. The HP rating is 330.
