I striped it down to the gel coat, removed the bumpers, trim and interior, $6k including $750 for standard 31 year old wheel well cracks and a few dings. But it looks
I just had mine done. Took it in with all trim and weatherstrip removed. He "final fit" both fiberglass bumpers, did some minor body wirk and stripped most areas, 2 coats sealer, 4 coats base coat, 2 tint coats, and 4 coats of clear, then wet sand and buffed for 4500. I had to re-install all trim and weatherstrip and do the final install of the bumpers.
Be very sure that whoever you get to do it knows fiberglass. A shop that has an excellent reputation for normal cars can completely mess things up on fiberglass.
Also don't accept anyone who says that it'll only take a few weeks. The job can't be done properly without A LOT of prep work.
I think around 6k would be a minimum in california.
