Re: How do I raise the radiator shroud? (Chuck Gongloff)
If you have all the "right stuff" on the car, I'd check the motor mounts to make sure the engine isn't loose, causing the fan to hit the shroud. Chuck
The motor is mounts are both new, this is a weird one because it does not do it when I rev the engine or even brake-torque it, but only when the engines weight is shifted back. I can't help but wonder if with the headers (which weigh a fair amount less), the engine sits higher on the mounts. (Compresses them less...) I'm using poly mounts, btw.
Is there a way to lift the shroud? Or am I looking at making the tranny mount "thicker"?
Re: How do I raise the radiator shroud? (Pacin'California)
This happened to me once i changed my motor mounts and trans mount. You have to adjust the mounts of the shroud down at the radiator support and up top where it bolts to the support.
