Flex Fan Sucks!
just instaled a 7 blade flex fan it cools way better than the stock clutch but NO WAY IT SAVES POWER this thing robs tons of power and sucks gaz like hell! Now I know that I can manage the heat of the engine.. I think I am going to eletric fan set up. Any body have an idea?

Spend the money for the Spals, you won't be sorry. Works great on my setup and at the last car show a friend of mine has a sweet 69 chevelle and it was always running hot, he put on a set of the spals and presto, runs cool.

What condition is the radiator in? If it's old, maybe the increased airflow that you've gotten with your flex fan is just compensating for the poor heat transfer of a fouled radiator. It doesn't have to be leaking to be worn out. Was the fan clutch that you replaced worn out? If it was, maybe just replacing it with a good clutch and putting your OEM fan back on would help the cooling issue. Dewitt's has a real good article on Corvette cooling systems posted in the tech section here on the forum.
