1981 Interior Color Names
I have a 1981 and I have the tan interior but I have no idea what EXACT color it is considered as. I want to order some accessories but have no idea what color code it is. Any pics with labeled names?

The color is call Camel. If your car has leather the code is 642. If you car has cloth interior the code is 64C The code is located on the driver side pillar post tag in the front door jam area.

Corvette America lists an '81-'82 color named 'CAMEL', their code #58. It's the only color I'd even consider (considering I'm color-blind!) as close to Tan/Camel...

Well I'm ordering my parts from Ecklers and they have a dark doeskin that I guess would be the closest to camel?? My interior is a little bit darker shade of tan than the one that is posted above.

Have you ever considered Oyster. When I bought my 80 my plans were to paint it Electron Blue with an Oyster interior. Killer combo IMO.
By the way, all my references say camel was the 81 color as well. Check your trim tag.

Yea I thought about changing the interior color for a while but I am on a tight budget for a while so it's gonna have to stay tan for a long time. My door jams and everything are all primered up and have been sanded down. There are no tags that display the color anywhere. I'm thinking dark doeskin must be the same as camel?

ive always wanted to change mine over to camel or a tan,i think the electronblue and camel is a great color choice,i have midnight blue with electron now.

My '81 has a Camel interior. Ecklers call it Dark Doeskin, which made for an interesting conversation... "Camel, please", "Dark Doeskin then?", "No, Camel", "That'll be Dark Doeskin then", "No, it's Camel". Anyway the Dark Doeskin parts arrived & they were Camel :D
Other suppliers call it Camel, Ecklers just seem to call it Dark Doeskin (maybe they got really fed up with bad jokes about double hump heads?). If you order it as Dark Doeskin for an '81 the color will match OK.
