Overdrive is a wonderful thing. When the ricers pass by I look at the tach and chuckle to myself as I know I can easily double my speed, and not even be close to my redline. :yesnod:
I let them pass - you need some fools speeding in front of you as defense while you speed.
:steering:
:agree: That's very true... unless of course the ricer drops back and tries to play, in which case it's necessary to just burn the guy(in the interest of everyones safety). Yes it's better to just smoke him quickly, and lessen the risk of any problems from some coy cat and mouse game on the freeway- If the guy's still driving nutty with something to prove, I just let off some and let the guy feel his civic's wing gave him the edge... no worries. :D
I ignore it. They're still driving a ricer and I'm driving a Corvette. That means no matter what I win. I'm good with it.

Let's see....my car was built in 1971, its still on the road and people still gather around it everywhere I go, ask questions and say nice car. That Civic that just passed me was built in 2001, ask yourself this, will that Civic be on the road in 2033.......I don't think so. Its a waste of my gas. I save that for the Rustangs
highway driving is funny that way... The corvette v8 with extra horsepower can walk most of those cars up at highway speed and I always pick my spot... like on a long uphill run - the cars - including the ricers - just fade into the rear view mirror!
Don't care what they do or don't do as long as they do not cause an accident. I have become a fan of the small 4 cyl cars that many of the kids build these days. It is a great hobby and most that I know take excellent care of their cars and only open tham up on the track, unlike most of the muscle car owners around here. I love what they do with modern technology and these cars are fun to drive. I have also not come across one that does not respect my vert. and ask plenty of knowledgable quetions about it.

On long road trips I like having faster cars break for me. Yet, they frequently get caught up in traffic. When I catch them and find the room to pass, which is much less room than they need, there is no doubt whose got THE CAR when I STREAK past in an explosive display of power. I settle back down to about 10 over the limit and wait for the guy to pass me once again.
