82CE Hatch Question
I was at the Vett Funfest today and I noticed most of the 82CE`s had new hatch supports. Has anyone found a good match up at a parts store or will I be forced to spend $189 for a new set?

I can't believe, that 20+ years after the last 'big-windowed' Shark ('78-'82), that NOBODY has created a high-quality kit to convert our non-CE cars to 'hatch-back' status!
I mean, we can buy truly hideous ground-effects packages, C2 'Stinger-hoods', fender-flares, tilt-front-end kits, etc., but NO hatch-conversions!!!

Mine are shot too, what I was told to do is to take one off, go to your local auto parts store, and ask them to get the closes match they can to it.
The one guy I talked to that had done this said the only ones they found were about 3 inches shorter, but the window still opened fine just not vertical. And he paid about $35.00 for the set.
If you get a set like this, post the part # for the rest of us.

I bought a NOS set on ebay for about a hundred dollars. You can also purchase the Cars and Concepts conversion kits on there every once in a while too but they are expensive.
