Default Have questions- new window weatherstip is...

....really stiff and the window doesn't go all the way up without getting slowed down by the weatherstip. I also added a new window regulator and added new bushing in my door hinge. I tried adjusting the window but can't seem to get it right. When the window goes up it hits the "new" rear door glass weatherstip which slows the window down and then the "new" front window pillar weatherstrip will stop the window before it fully closes....Any suggestions on proper adjustment, advice, etc....Tony

When I first did mine it was the same problem. I readjusted the glass and just made sure it lined up OK with the window all the way up if I did it with the door open and then closed it with the glass up. After sitting in the garage all winter and out again in the spring, it finally began to compress the rubber a little and now everything is fine.

I guess I can wait it out, but it seems like it really stresses out the motor. Thanks....

I know, that's what I was worried about too - so for awhile I just cracked open the door and ran the window up until everything was ok. I know it seems like a pita but unless you want to keep adjusting the windows every couple of months until the rubber compresses to fit the glass I'd live with it.
