Hi,
Does anyone? find something too bring down the heavy noise off SIDE PIPES? It was fun just to drive a few streets! but recently a drove two hours to a meeting! and my head was going to blow  I drive a 1978 C3 with LS6, 454 cu. 510hp! compression almost 10.50! that's why she's so noisy I think? It has to be something I can do in the pipes without losing power? because off the oval holes at the end off the pipes there's nothing too buy for?? and it would come out of the car?

Those look like hooker pipes from your pics. I have JCL spiral baffles in my car and love them. I drove to Carlisle and back and loved every minute of it.
I was just pricing out a set of Hookers for my future car. Cant wait to start modding it. I have spintecs on my mustang right now and they are louder than the 1chamber flows i had on. very annoying. good luck in your quest for quieter pipes.
Even I know seems to be pleased with the JCL baffles. They don't rob much power either, I believe Chuck Harmon's 500+hp big block only lost something like 5 rwhp compared to open pipes
I love the look of sidepipes ... on other ppls vettes, had them on mine for a few weeks last summer with the potential for bad burns and the loudness of them I couldn't wait to get rid of them and go back to true duals.
Wow! a lot of support! :chevy I'm going to find those JCL spiral baffles? perhaps it's possible to make them myself? but I don't know how they look like? I presome that it is a twisted peace of metal screwed along the inside as long as the pipe goes! ps. the mufflers are inside!
