I got a bunch of new dash parts for my 76 including new upper and lower dash parts and new vent *****. Currently ONLY the upper dash and HVAC ducts are installed. where and in what order do the vent ***** go in and what is the felt for?

With the lower dash pad (either side) face down on a table the outer ring goes first, then the ball, then the part with the valve in it. The felt goes in the mouth of that part. There is probably old felt or at least old glue there. If the valve part has already been separated from the dash pad, be aware that there is a left and right-you just have to swap them around until the screw holes line up and the shaft for the **** comes through the pad in the right place.
