Ok guys...Ive got a huge dilemma here.....Ive got the 350 out of my 73...Its a 72 4bolt block so its not original. the block is already bored .40 over from the previous guy. I have new: Dart 2.02 heads Edelbrock RPM Air Gap intake, Edelbrock RPM cam w .510 lift, Hooker SComp Ceramic hdrs., and so on.......Now the bottom end....do I:
Rebuild it as it is...................OR...........Stroke it....???? :steering:
I you have the funds for a new rotating assemble, then I'd vote stroker. I have the RPM cam in my 350 bored .020 over. This cam is a bit excessive with it's duration so it may work better in a larger displacement engine :) .
Not only stroke it but make sure that it is internally balanced. I just got doing mine, if you want all the numbers compression ratios etc... let me know. Drop me an email.
