’74 EGR valves. Two types?
 Okay none of our supporting vendors carry EGR valves. I tried the local retailers and they all have two models for sale. One is for high performance. Which one for my warmed up (heads/cam/headers in sig)?
Also had a retired mechanic tell me the later year (’75-’81) EGRs fit the intake better than in ’74. They are cheaper too. Can I use any year I choose. Is there a EGR vacuum setting I need to choose? :skep:

:banghead: Okay, I looked all over their website (Zip) for a numbers-matching service and can’t find one. Can You? Tried their search engine plenty too – no luck. And of course ’74 EGR valve not carried in their catalog (online either).
Buying one isn’t the problem. Finding one that will work with my engine combo is what I’m looking for. How are these things rated?
Maybe I'm confused. In my Zip Products 2000 catalog (maybe I need an update) there's an info box about EGR valves and a number to call with the number stamped on your valve so that they can send you the right one. Maybe in mis-interpreted the information in that box.

Yes, I found that info block in my 2002 catalog. I might give’m a call on the 800# for help but I really would like some kind of rating to match with my engine. Problem is my engine is higher compression and bigger camshaft than stock L-48. As they operate on vacuum a high performance engine with lower idle vacuum may not open the EGR enough or open it at all. Don’t want to chase my tail when tuning for smog test.
Thanks for your effort. :)
