Had '76 auto in trannsmission shop to fix leaks but i am still having some leaks from bell housing hole and also over on passenger side on engine any clue on this before I take it back in ?? Could it be something else the fluid is red in color.
Check your trans fluid lines on the passenger side. They can weep fluid if not seated/tightened sufficiently. I had a phantom leak on my 700R4 installation for over a year. It would leak at the converter cover drain hole. First thought it was the front shaft seal; replaced that along with the pan gasket. Still leaked. Finally dropped the trans on the floor and found that the selector shaft seal had been installed crooked and the selector shaft that the trans rebuilder had provided was scored and possibly contributing to the leak. Replaced both; no more leak.
I also had a tailshaft leak. Replaced the seal, still leaked. Later found that by re-using the slip yoke from my TH350 for my 700R4 was bad idea; it did not seat against the rear seal sufficiently to keep fluid from oozing. New slip yoke fixed that.
Many sources for leaks on an auto trans. Hang in there!
Another place that can leak and is hard to find is the oring on the fill tube. If the end of your fill tube is bent or out of round the oring won't seal in the hole and you'll get leaks. Speedometer connection and Governor cover can also leak, but they are more toward the back of the engine.
The bad thing about tranny leaks is that they can leak from one places and run down into every crack and crevice below the leak, making it hard to find where it is really leaking from.
