Ya that tall 1st gear in the 700r4 really makes a diff. You might be OK to use a short runner intake but you could also try one of these:



The super ram has a little longer runners than the miniram so it does not give up much low end torq and should flow plenty for your combo. With the stock stall and high rear gear I would worry a little about getting a slight bog of idle using a short runner intake. Corey pretty much hit it on the head with his recomendation for your set up.
