Default Ecklers Reunion Oct 17-18th

We went to this thingy two years ago and had a nice time. There were not many vendors, but lots of great vettes.

So, I heard, but have not confirmed, that during the show Ecklers parts are discounted 10 percent.

I had been planning to buy the L88 Hood in November for $549.99. If I can get a discount and save shipping it might makes sense to get it during the Reunion.

I had wanted to go anyway, so the the travel expense is somewhat offset by my desire to go.

My question: Do you think the L88 Hood will go into the trunk of a 2003 Impala for tansport 200 miles? Of course, I would take along some padding and tie downs.

Measure the width + Length of your exsisting hood and the width + Length of your trunk. If it doesn't fit just buy it while your there and have them drop ship it, you will still save the 10%. Where is the reunion at Florida? Have you decided to paint your Vette black yet. I am partial to my color. When I redo the car it will be the same color.

1972, Ontario Orange, Dark Saddle 350, TH400, Hookers, 2.5" exhaust w/Flowmasters, Edelbrock performer intake, Pertronix Electronic ignition, Pertonix Flame Thrower Wires, Rapid Fire Plugs, K&N. To Come near future: Aluminum Radiator, Rebuild of 350, New Transgo reprograming kit for the TH400, Suspension upgrade. Long Range Plan: Complete body off Restore. If I ever sell it or get in the nastalgic mood I still have all the originals down to the original AM/FM Stereo (a 72 option).

I've been there a few times, and yes, all parts are 10% off, plus the
scratch and dent clearance area, which is a bigger discount.

Does your back seat open into the trunk?

I need a new exhaust. Sounds like a good time to go and get it. Would go in my truck and be happy to haul a hood as well. That way you could go in your vette.

They will give you the discount and ship it later if you want. That's what they do when the part you want is not in stock at the time. The last few Eckler's events have had an area for flea market type vendors so you may find a used hood.

I've been going down there on and off ever since I lived there in the '80s. I really like it. It seems that most of the good deals go pretty early.
