Default Electric Choke hookup question

I just bought a new Holley carb with electric choke. My current carb has the bi-metallic spring choke and does not take electricity.

Does the electric choke automatically sense the engine temp and shut off or do I need to wire it to a switch so I can shut it off manually?

Thanx

I added an Edelbrock electric choke to my Q jet, I just wired it to the fuse block where there is power when the key is switched on. There is no on/off switch. :seeya

The electric choke stays on as long as the key is on. Wire your choke to a point on the fuse block that stays hot as long as the key is on and you will be fine.
